【抗爭天使】(Name of a Woman) 是關於一位單親母親對職場不平事作出控訴的故事。Nina 是一位修補家具的師傅，因工場結業而被迫轉行。她在一間名為 Barrata 的高級安老院找到一份雜役的差事，之後便與女兒 Caterina 一起搬進宿舍。Nina 的工作雖然低下，但她做得戰戰兢兢，半點也沒怠慢。一天，經理叫她深夜過去見面，Nina 以為自己做錯了甚麼，卻發現原來經理要她提供特別服務。Nina 不甘受辱，決定要通過法律途徑，將經理的惡行公諸於世。
雖然故事是關於爭取公義，但電影並沒有拍得很熱血，只是平淡地訴說女主角的際遇，寫她被告誹謗，被同僚排擠，被男友勸退。這些平凡的事情匯聚在一起，成為一股強大的迫力，讓栗透不過氣來。在某個時空、某個國度，某些事情看似平常不過，但事實真的如此嗎？如果我們為著一己私利，而讓不公義的事情延續下去，受害的不僅是我們，還有我們的下一代和再下一代。
Nina 的控訴最終獲得受理，那壞蛋經理也得到應有的懲罰。只是，導演並沒因此而讓觀眾放鬆，更刻意在片末加插一個小片段，提示觀眾惡行依然。很喜歡導演這樣為電影作結。真的，不公平不公義的事情每天持續發生，我們怎可能以為一次小勝，從此便天下太平？
